Overall, Orane’s DVM product line provides a comprehensive solution for melting various metal grades, offering unmatched campaign performance, durability, and versatility. Whether used in channel holding furnaces, pouring furnaces, or channel inductors, these products play a vital role in optimizing metal melting processes across industries.
EKW SILICA MIX, made from quartzite formed under exceptional conditions in Slovenian region has the highest grade of raw material in the world. Its unique properties include: Excellent thermal stability conferred by the microcrystalline quartzite, reducing the risk of crack formation.
Strong resistance to chemical attacks, thanks to the products purity. Ultra-low surface porosity when sintered, reducing the risk of steam passing through the lining. Relatively low density, resulting in a low level of heat loss. Compatibility with most iron slag, since SILICA MIX is acidic.
The Natural QA silica mix range is well suited for most coreless and channel induction furnaces, no matter what the alloys, melting temperatures, operating conditions and installation techniques.
At Orane Refractories, we have developed a novel solution to enhance furnace life. The in-situ spinels synthesize at high temperatures inside the refractory lining, creating a unique 3-layer structure. The outermost layer in contact with the molten metal is a hard, sintered surface, followed by an intermediate fritted layer.
The innermost layer stays in a powdery form. Neutral Ramming Mass is used in the Induction Furnace lining to improve the furnace life.
